The 2.5% strength is effective without being overly aggressive, making it ideal for consistent use without excessive irritation.

How To Use

Use in the evening on clean, dry skin. Start with Skinbetter Science AlphaRet Overnight Cream, then follow with Face Reality 2.5% Acne Med.

AlphaRet Overnight Cream:
Apply first. Use a thin, even layer over the entire face. Start 2–3 nights per week and increase frequency as tolerated. Allow it to absorb into the skin before moving to the next step.

Face Reality 2.5% Acne Med:
Apply a thin layer to acne-prone areas after AlphaRet. This step targets acne-causing bacteria and active breakouts.
Wait about 5 minutes, then follow with moisturizer to keep the skin balanced and supported.

AlphaRet Overnight Cream:

AlphaRet: a unique combination of a retinoid and an AHA (lactic acid).

Glycolic Acid: helps retexturize and enhances performance of AlphaRet. 

Targeted Peptide Blend: helps smooth the appearance of wrinkles, skin firmness and resiliency.

Ultra Hydrating Blend of Ceramides, Squalane, Niacinamide and Hyaluronic Acid: helps to counteract dryness, providing hydration and moisture. 

Allantoin Glycyrrhetinic Acid, Bisabolol, and Green Tea Extract: ingredients with calming properties that also help reduce the appearance of redness. 

Vitamins C & E and CoEnzyme Q10: provide antioxidant protection.

2.5% Advanced Acne Med:

2.5% MICRONIZED BENZOYL PEROXIDE: micronized for a smaller and more consistent benzoyl peroxide particle size that penetrates the pore more efficiently, while also preventing potential irritation. Kills C. acnes bacteria, antimicrobial, and aids in peeling the inside of the pore.


BISABOLOL: supports skin hydration, soothing, reduces irritation, and sensitivity.


SODIUM HYALURONATE: boosts skin’s resilience, attracts moisture to the skin, which can help reduce dryness and flakiness.
